I have pointed out at the height of Jumblat’s alliance with the neo-cons in DC during the Bush administration that the man had a history of anti-Semitic pronouncements. But all that was ignored because he was then serving Israeli interests. There was a time when I would read Jumblat’s name daily in the US press because his statements were seen as an affirmation of the Bush doctrine. Jumblat the other day is back at insulting the Jewish people: saying that they can’t be trusted. But then again: all of Israel’s Arab friends, beginning with the Nazi anti-Semite, Anwar Sadat, are rabid anti-Semites.
